Don't let cold temps keep your family cooped up.  This February, visit Mt Washington Valley for some great family events to help keep the kids busy and happy

North Conway, NH - This February, don't let the cold temps keep your family cooped up at home.  With so many fun events happening on and off the slopes in Mt. Washington Valley, February is the time to plan a getaway to New Hampshire's premier vacation destination.  Thirteen ski resorts and XC Centers offer plenty of on-slope fun, yet sleigh rides, dog sled rides, skating, tax-free shopping, and plenty of unique museums mean there's plenty of fun for non-skiers too.  This year, pack the little princesses and princes in the car and plan a fantasy trip to Mt Washington Valley.  Don't forget the tierra!

Every Saturday in February: Children's Après Ski Parties at Bretton Woods - Kids aged 4-12 are invited to join in this après ski party just for them, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. every Saturday evening through March 15. February 16: Perfect for Teens: Hearthside Dinner at Remick Museum - The dinners are cooked entirely on the open hearth using historic recipes. Our guests help to prepare the meal with ingredients preserved fresh from the harvest. The Remick Museum staff dress in 19th century attire, and the menu changes with the seasons. Hearthside Dinners take place from 5 - 7 p.m.; they are a cozy gathering of 8-10 people, and although they are designed for adult audiences, young people ages 16 and up are welcome with an adult in attendance. February 18 - 24: King Pine's Wild Winter Celebration -  A full week of wintertime fun and excitement at King Pine including an overnight ski camp, Silly Slalom and Belly Bag Races on Feb. 19, Family Challenge Fun Race and fireworks on Feb. 20, scavenger hunts, music, bonfires, entertainment and much more! February 24: Snow Princess Night - The Second Annual Snow Princess Night will be held at the North Conway Grand Hotel from 2 - 8 p.m. for children 4 to 12.  Don't miss this whimsical evening of fun and fantasy. Make your child's dream come true - a chance to twirl and show off her beautiful dress and don't forget the crown.  Each child will be presented to the Snow Queen Sedna and her two Princess daughters, Aurora from the North Pole and Stella from the South Pole, and a story telling through interpretive dance will make the evening an enchanting and magical experience! February 25: 19th Annual Chocolate Festival Ski Tour - The Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring Center in Intervale will host its 19th annual cross-country ski tour from inn to inn for those who love chocolate and will go to almost any lengths to have some. Enjoy hand-dipped chocolate strawberries, chocolate truffle cheesecake, chocolate chip cookies and many more chocolate delights as skiing, snowshoeing or even driving to each of the inns and businesses participating in this sweet experience between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.  Info:  603-356-9920 or http://www.crosscountryskinh.com/.

February 27: Mt. Dew Vertical Ski Challenge at Attitash - Attitash will host this free, strictly for fun race for skiers of all ages and abilities. Prizes are awarded in over eight age categories.
