North Conway, NH - Record snowfall and cooler temps mean hot winter conditions for snowmobilers, skiers, and outdoor recreationalists. Once football ends, there's plenty of time to get off the couch and enjoy the mountains with some fabulous skiing, ice climbing, dog sledding and even chairlift speed dating! Here are five great ways to burn some calories while enjoying outdoor fun in Mt Washington Valley.
February 2: "Hearts of Jackson" Inn Tour - Jackson Ski Touring Foundation in partnership with twelve village inns will be presenting the "Hearts of Jackson" inn tour from 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. Participants can cross country ski, snowshoe, walk or drive from inn to inn throughout the village of Jackson. Everyone will be greeted with warm hospitality by the local innkeepers, and will have an opportunity to tour the different inns. Maps will be provided and a small commemorative gift will be given to all participants of the tour. Sign-up for the Hearts of Jackson Tour is limited to 150 people, reservations are recommended. February 7 - 10: 15th Annual Ice Fest at IMCS - International Mountain Climbing School will partner with Cranmore Mountain to host the 15th annual Ice Fest this weekend. Featured climbers will conduct advanced climbing clinics. IMCS will hold beginner, intermediate and specialty program clinics plus slide show presentations at 7 p.m. and more. February 9: Chairlift Speed Dating at Black Mountain - Back by popular demand, chairlift speed dating will return
to Black Mountain this winter. Register in the Lostbo pub for as many date rides as possible. The only rule is you

February 14-17: 9th Annual Chicks with Picks - This popular annual weekend is for the women, hosted by International Mountain Climbing School. There will be a wide variety of clinics for climbers of all abilities, as well as a gear auction and slide show at 7 p.m. on Saturday, which will benefit Starting Point, a local women's crisis center. February 25: 19th Annual Chocolate Festival Ski Tour - The Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring Center in Intervale will host its 19th annual cross-country ski tour from inn to inn for those who love chocolate and will go to almost any lengths to have some.
