Loop back into Maine!

There are two treasures within a stones throw of the North Conway area that feature arts and culture; and are two total gems in the rolling fields and dense forests of Western Maine. Those two treasures are Stone Mountain Arts Center and Denmark Arts Center.

Stone Mountain Arts Center may (proudly) be in the middle of nowhere in Brownfield, Maine, but it’s enough on the map that it hosts national acts in its intimate timber frame hall. Acts Like Lyle Lovett, Brandi Carlile, Aaron Neville, and more have graced its stage. Dinner is served before most shows by reservation.

Currently smaller shows of 50 or less are being performed in accordance with Covid-19 precautions, but SMAC was undaunted by the pandemic and found unique and creative ways to keep feeding and entertaining its constituents. Reserving dinner, purchasing tickets to its more compact version of a show and then coming back for the full-monty experience when mandates are lifted are a must!

Denmark Arts Center is a cultural organization that is building a creative community with year-round events and workshops in contemporary dance, theater, music and visual art. DAC has been incredibly original during the pandemic and found new ways to bring cultural events to its followers by partnering with local businesses to bring outdoor and streamed events.
