Mt Washington Valley Chamber appoints new members to the Board of Directors

North Conway, NH – The Mt Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce (MWVCC)  was delighted to welcome five new members to their board of directors in March, 2020.  The largest of Northern New Hampshire’s chambers of commerce, the Mt Washington Valley Chamber represents a region of 28 towns, villages and unincorporated areas surrounding Mount Washington. With work focused on the business, non-profit, retail, educational, tourism and recreational needs of the community, the Mt Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce actively supports a vibrant region with outreach, marketing, business, information services and tourism functions. MWVCC Board of Directors members foster the organization’s continued visibility and growth, diversification of income sources and personally contribute needed resources and talents toward this end.

In March 2020, the Mt Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce welcomed the following new members to the Board of Directors.

Heather Clement, Chalmer’s Insurance: Heather has dedicated her career to the insurance industry, first working with Mason & Mason Insurance Company as Marketing/Communications Director (2005-2015) then as Commercial Lines Account Manager (2014-2016). From there, she moved to Chalmer’s Insurance Group where she has worked as a Commercial Lines Account Manager since 2016, a position she presently holds. She serves as the Chair of the Education Committee of the NH Association of Insurance Agents and was the Secretary of the White Mountain Homebuilders Association from 2013-15 where she ran a successful membership drive that more than doubled membership.  In addition, she is the secretary of Stay MWV and has been a committee member since 2018. Heather holds an Associate of Science in Business Administration degree from Granite State College and is presently working on completing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Granite State. She holds the professional designation as Certified Insurance Counselor.  Heather is a graduate of Leadership MWV, a network for developing professionals, providing opportunities for mentorship for community involvement and support for civic leadership.

Paul R. Durfee, Cranmore Mountain Resort – Paul has focused his career in the ski and recreational industry, starting as a member of one of the top sales staffs for Formula One Boats at Lakeport Landing Marina in 2007-08. From there, he moved into the ski industry where he has worked ever since, starting as a Zip Tour Supervisor and Season Pass Representative at Gunstock Mountain Resort in 2011 and 2012.  He moved to Cranmore Mountain Resort as Sales Manager in June, 2013 and then became the Director of Sales in June, 2015 – the position he currently holds. Paul earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut and is presently working on completing a Master’s in Business Administration with an expected 2021 graduation from Plymouth State University.  Paul is presently participating in the Leadership MWV class.

John Greene, Northern NH Eversource – John started his career in a variety of field positions for congressional candidates and state parties.  His career started as a State Field Director for the South Dakota Democratic Party in 2011, and then as field director on both a senate and congressional race in 2011 and 2012. He moved into the Deputy District Director position in Concord, NH for Congresswoman Kuster and advised on environmental, energy and agricultural issues in New Hampshire from 2015-2017. In May, 2017 he moved into his present position as Community Relations and Economic Development Specialist for Eversource Energy, where he continues today.  Paul serves as a Board member of the Newmarket Economic Development Corp and on the Planning Committee for NeighborWorks Southern NH.  Additionally he serves on the Advocacy Committee for Stay Work Play NH and is a member of the NHPR Community Advisory Board. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Policy from the University of New Hampshire and is the current Leadership MWV class.

Jessica DiPietro, Badger Realty/Tim DiPietro Electric/Cranmore Mountain Resort – Jessica wears many hats juggling her time between systems and processing improvements and agent training for Badger Realty, where she’s been since 2017. At the same time, Jessica offers office assistance for Tim Dipietro Electric, a role she’s had since 2007 and Head Coach for the U-10 Team at Cranmore Mountain Resort, where she has been coaching since 2014. Prior to this and during college Jessica held internships at Memorial Hospital and Merriman House in North Conway plus Angels Neurological Centers in Abington, MA. Jessica earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration from Stonehill College in 2013 and a Master’s in Science degree in Management/Healthcare Administration from the University of Southern New Hampshire in 2017. In addition, Jessica is a graduate of the Leadership MWV Program.                     

Rob Clark, Trails End Ice Cream - Rob Clark has lived in the Mt. Washington Valley since 1985.  Rob worked in training/HR and food operations at Story Land for 16 years. In addition, he served as Assistant Food & Beverage Director at Cranmore Mountain Resort, 2011-2014.  After teaching Business for two years at MWV Career and Technical Center, he started RecycleMobile to make recycling more convenient to Valley residents and businesses.  About the same time, his family purchased Trails End Sweets and Treats Ice Cream Shop in Intervale which they have expanded to include a Settlers Green location and a mobile ice cream trailer.  Rob has held various positions on the Bartlett School Board, serving for nearly 10 collective years, and also as Bartlett Town Moderator from 1997-2017. In addition, he presently continues as the morning show host on White Mountains TV, serves as a Justice of the Peace and a bus tour step-on guide. Within the community he is a volunteer Polar Express Reader and an emergency Foster parent too.
