SIX REASONS MT WASHINGTON VALLEY IS THE BEST NEW ENGLAND DESTINATION FOR A FALL GETAWAY

From fall festivals to haunts and Halloween events to the most amazing leaf-peeping, Mt Washington Valley is New England’s number on destination for a fabulous fall getaway.  Here’s why.

North Conway, NH – Nestled into the shadow of Mt Washington, the tallest peak in the Northeast, Mt Washington Valley, NH is found in the heart of primo leaf-peeping country.  While it’s surrounded by 770,000 acres of White Mountain National Forest, this region is anything but white; alive in color throughout the fall months.  Yankee Magazine, prognosticators for fall colors, have already declared that the fall season will be filled with color in New England, and given earlier weather factors may even last longer than usual.  Already, we’re seeing the vestiges of color in Mid-September, and it just gets more and more brilliant from here.

But why Mt Washington Valley over all the other places in New Hampshire and New England for fall fun and leaf-peeping?  We’ve collected a wide range of resources – from family festivals and fairs to scenic drives and selfie-worthy overlooks – not to mention 15 ways to peep a leaf. Read on for links to all the fall foliage diversions in Mt Washington Valley.
