THEMED LODGING OPTIONS CREATE OUT-OF-THE-BOX TRAVEL EXPERIENCES IN  MT WASHINGTON VALLEY, NH

North Conway, NH – Known for it’s “Live free or die” attitude, Mt Washington Valley is filled with more than 150 different lodging options for travelers to choose from.  From campgrounds to smaller inns and B&Bs to larger hotels, cottages and efficiencies,  or condos/vacation rentals, visitors to Mt Washington Valley have many choices that fit any budget for where to stay.   Whether it’s luxurious townhomes with jetted tubs or hot tubs or a remote cabin or hut in the woods, you’ll find at least one if not more options in Mt Washington Valley.  Best of all, each lodging option offers a unique price point, amenities and setting too.

Today’s traveler is seeking unique experiences, and while every lodging option offers a special setting, here are six ideas for those seeking out-of-the-box travel experiences.

Adventure Suites, North Conway, NH:

Named among the Top Ten Themed Hotels in the Country, you’ll find impeccably themed rooms here like no other.  Sleep in a treehouse, a cave or a retro love shack, complete with disco ball.  The newest addition to their themed rooms is the Haunted Castle, which involved a $1 million make-over in 2017.  This five-level room leaves absolutely no details behind and is the first and only simulated overnight haunted hotel experience in the world. It’s Disney level and a breakthrough in hotel technology.  The special effects experienced by those who stay in the Haunted Castle are like no other. Beds shake, ghosts appear and disappear, cupboards open and close, to say nothing of the audio effects designed for this experience.  Adventure Suites has implemented a sophisticated computerized system involving motion sensors, time delays, video, projection pneumatics, lights, audio and more to scare the heck out of guests.  No expense has been spared on this project.  Features include a gangway bar overlooking the living room, outdoor hot tub on the balcony, the king’s “bone throne”, two fireplaces, three bathrooms, a draw bridge leading to the three bedrooms (including a 3-tiered “dormatorium” sleeping 12) and hundreds of features, skeletons, gargoyles and beyond-your-imagination statues.  The room sleeps up to 18 people. Guests can expect to be haunted, expect to have fun, but better not expect to get much sleep.  Special effects will last throughout the night.  Effects can be programed for preferences from family-friendly to bachelorette, wedding, and scare-your-pants off.  Info: http://adventuresuites.com/.

Huttopia White Mountains, Albany, NH

This is glamping at its best!  It’s camping with plenty of glamour and comforts of home, yet in a beautiful lakeside and pet-friendly location.  Choose between swimming in the heated pool or canoeing or exploring the lake via a stand-up paddleboard! Enjoy delicious homemade pizzas on the terrace and take part in a range of activities like basketball, volleyball, ping pong or try Mölkky, a game that is popular right now in Europe!  Accommodations vary from The Trappers Tents accommodating up to five people with al bathroom with shower, washbasin, and toilet. You’ll sleep under a canvas roof on comfortable mattresses. To prepare meals, there is a small fridge, kitchenware, crockery, and a sink to do the dishes. Another more basic option is the Canadian Tent. Camp without having to bring your own camping equipment, towels, or sheets. Enjoy comfortable mattresses and all the equipment you need to prepare your meals: a small fridge, crockery, and kitchenware. Washroom facilities with good free hot showers are not in the tent, but nearby. For those seeking the ultimate glamping experience, choose The Chalet. This solid wood cabin is ideal for large or extended families and is bright and spacious with its mezzanine, equipped kitchen, bathroom, and gas heater. It has two bedrooms and a fully equipped wooden bathroom and can sleep up to 6 people. All of this is less than 10-15 minutes from downtown North Conway.
