Washington Valley of New Hampshire each time you visit.  Food festivals featuring cookies, maple, chili, chocolate, strawberries, beer and more dot the calendar throughout the year.  Choose from 75 different restaurants offering up everything from casual and family-oriented to extreme-romance and cuisines from the close to the far corners of the world.  There are locals’ nights, 2-fer nights and plenty of themed dining events too.  Dine aboard a train, in a caboose or atop a mountain with spectacular views.  It’s all here for those who love a foodie adventure.

The Valley Originals are a group of locally owned and operated Mt Washington Valley restaurants that have joined together to share their thoughts and ideas on what the true experience of local eatery should be like. June 10:  35th Bratwurst Broil and Open House at White Mountain Oil:  This annual event is one that customers look forward to all year.  Bratwurst served up and vendors include Energy Star, Hearth & Home, Nelson & Small, Thermopride, FW Webb, Ray Murray, and more. Open House is 10:00-4:00 but the grills will be going from 11:00-2:00 pm only. Info: www.whitemountainoil.com.

Saturday, June 11 & 18: Murder Mystery Dinner Train, Conway Scenic RR, North Conway Village, NH: A fabulous night of hijinks and murder aboard the Conway Scenic RR. First class seating, a five course dinner and interactive improv theater presented by Arts in Motion Theater Company. For tickets call 1-800 -232-5251. 

June 25:  North Conway Strawberry Festival: The Strawberry Festival will be held June 25 from 11 am until 4 pm on the North Conway Congregational Church campus in North Conway Village. The festival offers a fun day of feasting on locally grown fresh strawberries served in shortcakes, in smoothies and in hand-dipped chocolate covered treats.  There will be free kids games, balloon animals, live music and a white elephant sale of treasures.  Several beautiful and very rare antique wagons will be on display courtesy of Sut Marshall and several antique cars courtesy of Bob Holmes.  Tours of the historic “First Church” are available to those interested in learning about the living history of the nearly 250 year-old building. Info: www.firstchurchnc.com.

June 25, Opening day of the North Conway Farmers Market, North Conway Community Center, North Conway Village.

August 6: 5th Annual Attitash Blueberry Festival: Who says blueberries don’t grow in NH? Celebrate New Hampshire’s Blueberry season with this event including a Craft Fair, Cornhole Tournament, Face Painting by Mt Washington Valley Children's Museum, Blueberry Pie Baking Contest, Blueberry Pie Eating Contest, and an assortment of Blueberry BBQ, Treats, and Elixirs. This event will be topped off with a live performance from local favorite, The Jonathan Sarty Band. This event is FREE to attend, although Attitash Resort amenities including Alpine Slide, Mountain Coaster, Mountain Biking, Water Slides, Big Air Bag Jump, Scenic Ride, Zip Line, Buddy Bear's Playpool, and Horseback Riding require an admission ticket.
