SHOPPING DIVAS, REST UP!  NOVEMBER IS THE MONTH TO SHOP IN TAX-FREE NORTH CONWAY, NH

North Conway, NH – Mt Washington Valley stores, outlets, boutiques and shops are getting ready for the busiest time of year – the Harvest to Holidays shopping celebration!  With more than 200 shops and outlets added to New Hampshire’s tax-free shopping, North Conway and the surrounding Mt Washington Valley are abuzz with shopping celebrations throughout November.  November is the time to plan a “Shop Till You Drop Tax-Free” getaway, combining one of these fun events with accommodations, après-shop entertainment and dining plus much more. 

Plus, throughout October, November and December, the Mt Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce encourages shoppers to post their “Fun While Shopping” photos with #ShopMWV on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.  Every two weeks a favorite photo will be chosen to win prizes, gift certificates and/or merchandise. 

Grab a girlfriend, and plan a shopping getaway to coincide with one of these great shopping events.

November 7, 8, 9: Bring A Friend Weekend at Settlers’ Green Outlet Village: Shopping Divas, this is the event you wait for all year, three days of shopping some of the best deals of the season.  Free goodie bags are offered to the first 2,000 shoppers on the green near Timberland on Saturday, November 8 starting at 8:00am.  The bags are stuffed with coupons from participating stores and select bags will include free products and other gifts. One select bag will include a $500 Shopping Spree to Settlers' Green; you may just be the lucky one! 

This year you can reserve your bag in advance for $5 per bag, and be ready to shop that much sooner!  The funds raised will go directly to the Angels & Elves Charity, which provides gifts during the holiday season to hundreds of underserved children in Mount Washington Valley. Reserved bags will be available to pick up at Customer Service (Suite C13) on Friday, November 7 from 8:00am to 10:00pm, on Saturday, November 8 from 8:00am to 5:00pm or Sunday, November 9 from 8:00am to 5:00pm.  To reserve your bag online via PayPal, simply click here.

8:00am: The big 2000-bag giveaway, while supplies last, must be present to get a bag.
10:00am – 3:00pm:  DJ Kristen Corrigan plays music to keep you shopping!
10:30am:  Performance by Imari & the Sahara Desert Dancers
All Day: 60-Second Hand Therapy Session at Crabtree & Evelyn & other in store events
Raffle prizes drawn every 30 minutes.

Sunday, November 9

10:00-11:00am: Free Yoga with Chelsea Latham of Be Well Studios

November 28, 2014:  Black Friday in North Conway:  In the true shoppers’ tradition, stores throughout North Conway will open as soon as the clock strikes midnight and Thanksgiving is over! Some may even open earlier! All stores in Settlers’ Green Outlet Village will be open by 5:00am on Friday, November 28th.  Store hours will vary from store to store.  Special offers for Settlers’ Green stores will be posted on the What's On Sale page.  Additionally, special sales and additional information on Black Friday deals will be posted on the Mt Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce Facebook page and in Shop Talk, the free bi-weekly shopping tip newsletter.  Sign up to receive the Shop Talk newsletter at www.MtWashingtonValley.org.

November 29: An Old Fashioned Christmas:  Get ready to kick off a year-long celebration of the town of Conway’s 250th Anniversary with an old fashioned Christmas celebration in Schouler Park, North Conway Village.  It all starts with traditional holiday tree lighting with Santa, then the Angels and Elves walk to Eastern Slope Inn for story time, hot cocoa and s’mores. North Conway Village stores will offer sales and special in-store celebrations too. It’s all presented by Eastern Slope Inn, White Birch Books, Fields of Ambrosia, NCVA, the MWV Band and the Mt Washington Valley Radio Group!

November 29:  Great Glen Trails Craft Fair:  Shoppers may have to venture beyond North Conway for this one.  From 9:00am – 3:00pm crafters take over the base lodge and are spread out on all three floors at Great Glen Trails.  Look for artists in woodworking, photography, knitting, specialty soaps and lotions, jewelry, wreaths, and much more including live demonstrations.
