NORTH CONWAY, NH NAMED THE BEST SKIING VALUE IN THE NORTHEAST BY TRIPADVISOR®

North Conway, NH – Last week, TripAdvisor®, the world's largest travel review site, announced its TripIndex Ski, a cost comparison of 25 popular ski destinations throughout the United States and Canada. North Conway, NH was once again rated the number one best value ski destination in the Northeast. This is the second year in a row for this distinction from TripAdvisor’s TripIndex Ski.  North Conway’s lift tickets and average meal price were reportedly the least expensive of any town in the U.S. rated by the index.

TripAdvisor’s TripIndex Ski highlights the combined average cost of common ski trip expenses including a one-night hotel stay, a single-day lift ticket, a basic ski equipment rental package, and a meal at a local restaurant consisting of a burger and fries and a bottle or draft of domestic beer. Coming in at the #1 spot in the U.S. was Durango, CO with a total TripIndex Ski cost of $210, which represents about half the cost of the average of all destinations on the index. North Conway came in at #5 in the U.S. and the best value for ski destinations in the Northeast with a TripIndex Ski cost of $247. By comparison, with a total of $802, Vail, Colorado came in as the most expensive destination in the U.S. in this year's TripIndex Ski, nearly double the average of all destinations on the index. Aspen, Colorado was the second most expensive spot registering at $717.  According to TripAdvisor, each of the best value destinations offer average hotel prices under $200 per night. Nearly half of the most expensive destinations include average nightly hotel rates of more than $400.

According to a press release written by TripAdvisor, "The TripAdvisor TripIndex Ski helps travelers identify top ski spots in the U.S. and Canada that deliver the best value this season," said Brooke Ferencsik, director of communications at TripAdvisor. "A trip to the slopes can often be pricey, and TripIndex Ski proves there are plenty of skiing hotspots where travelers can hop on the chairlift without breaking the bank."

Mt Washington Valley offers 13 ski resorts and XC Centers all within a 30-minute drive from North Conway, NH, with a combined 250 alpine trails and 450km of XC trails.
