SUMMER'S FILLED WITH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS & FAMILY FUN EVENTS IN MT WASHINGTON VALLEY, NH
North Conway, NH - Celebrate summer this season with events for the whole family in Mt Washington Valley, NH, where anything is possible. From anniversary celebrations to live theater, historic events and more, there's something for everyone to enjoy throughout July and August in Mt Washington Valley, NH. July 1: Attitash Mountain Resort Celebrates 35 Years of Summer Fun. Day tickets will be discounted to $35. Plus the first summer "Cruise Attitash" classic and vintage car showing hosted by the Mount Washington Valley Old Car Club will be a highlight. Free resort tickets for those arriving in antique cars. July 2: Celebrate Mt. Washington Carriage Road Old Home Day from 10 AM to 4 PM with old fashioned activities for the whole family. Enjoy a pie eating contest, hayrides and a barbecue along with fireworks to end the day. Call 603-466-3988 or visit http://www.mtwashingtonautoroad.com/events/.
July 4: Kick off July 4th with a full day of entertainment starting with the parade at 1:30pm and continuing with live music, dance and more in North Conway's Schouler Park. July 6: Rick Charette will perform his famous children's songs at the Deertrees Theater in Harrison, Maine; two performances at 10 AM and 1 PM. Admission is $6/adult and $5/child. For more information visit http://www.deertreestheatre.org/ ..
July 9: Enjoy a completely dog friendly day with the 4th Annual Dog Day. Visit Settler's Green with your dog for a variety of activities: agility course, kissing booth, dog costume photos, doggie swimming pools and much more. Free treats and water at participating doggie friendly stores! 11am-3pm. All event proceeds go to Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire-North.
July 9-16: Zeb's 20th Anniversary: Celebrate 20 years of historic shopping at Zeb's General Store. Look for free samples and giveaways including balloons, wooden nickels, Zeb's Root Beer and more during the week. Each day a new giveaway is featured. July 9: Newton's Revenge bicycle race up Mt Washington is held on the same exact course as the original Mt. Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb, located in Pinkham Notch NH, making Newton's Revenge the other Toughest Hillclimb in the World. Road opens to race traffic only at 6:00 am. July 14: Two moms, Karen Morgan and Nancy Witter, finalists for Nick at Nite's "Search for the Funniest Moms in America", will perform a night of comedy at the Deertrees Theater in Harrison, Maine. For more information call 207-583-6747 or check out deertreestheater.org .
July 22, 23: Seek the Peak Hike-a-thon Fundraiser: Register, and raise a minimum of $100, then join everyone for the hike up Mt. Washington. *Friday night is the kick off party with goodie-bags, food and drinks at the Mount Washington Observatory and the hike takes place Saturday. For more information visit seekthepeak.org

August 1: Deadline to register for this year's Greater Ossippe Area Chamber of Commerce's (GOACC) Annual Golf Tournament. August 8: 150th birthday of the Mt. Washington Auto Road: come for afternoon cake, cars on display and fireworks.
August 11: Symphony Pops performs & fireworks: a part of Cranmore's Arts Jubilee Festival. Familiar classics and opportunities to sing along with many pops favorites. This is the concert that is traditionally ended with the 1812 Overture, Stars and Stripes and awesome Fireworks! Admission: $10/person kids under 12 and adults over 65 are FREE. Starts at 7 PM at the base of Cranmore Mountain.
August 13, 14: 24 of Great Glen: This 24-hour mountain bike race on the trail system of Great Glen is also a weekend full of bike fun and games for the entire family visit http://www.24hoursofgreatglen.com/.
August 26-28: The 23rd Annual Bach Festival: Three major concert performances are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday at 4 p.m., all at the Mt. Washington Valley's newly completed state of the art Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center located on the campus of Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg, Maine. August 23: The Downeast Brass Quintet at DeerTrees Theater: The Downeast Brass Quintet is comprised of five experienced musicians from Southern and Central Maine. Come hear a wide range of styles, from classical to Dixieland perfect for audiences of all ages with original and entertaining programming. August 27: Fields on the Saco: Take the fresh produce of three neighboring New Hampshire and Maine farms, combine them with the talents of award-winning chefs and what results is a fabulous four course meal and event held under a tent in the field of Sherman Farm at The Maize on the border of Maine and New Hampshire. Mark the calendar for August 27th for the Fourth Annual "Fields on the Saco," a special event honoring the land, family tradition and your discriminating taste. Walking tours of Sherman Farm and Wagon rides will start at 3:00pm. Cocktails provided by Tuckerman Brewing and Cold River Vodka will begin at 4:00pm and dinner will begin at 5:00pm. On this night, everything that touches your taste buds will have been raised in the fertile ground of three bordering family farms in Maine and New Hampshire, for a taste that is truly local.
