MARK THE CALENDARS FOR 2ND ANNUAL KIDS BIKE SAFETY DAY AT STORY LAND, MAY 8
North Conway, NH - The Mt Washington Valley Velo Club will present the 2nd Annual Kids Bike Safety Day at Story Land in Jackson, NH on May 8 (rain date: May 9). From 10am - 2:00pm, kids are invited to learn all about bicycle safety and test their skills, while visiting stations located throughout Story Land. The safety checks and educational stations take about an hour to complete; then the kids are invited to enjoy a complimentary lunch. Everyone will go home with a goodie bag.
The day starts with a helmet and bicycle safety check offered by skilled mechanics. Rules of the road will be offered by local police departments, and a variety of other stations will help to reinforce bike safety and skills with a number of exercises and explanations. Last year close to 200 people attended the event. This year promises to be another very successful event.
It's all presented by the MWV Velo Club, with help from the Kiwanis Club of Mt Washington Valley and a large pack of volunteers and sponsors. Additional sponsors are welcomed.
