CONWAY- The Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce's Chamber After Hours held on December 15th at Country Cabinets on East Conway Road, was an elegant holiday event. Owners Richard and Joy Check welcomed over 150 members to their onsite workshop and show room with beautifully handcrafted countertop and cabinetry displays.

Guests in attendance were treated to homemade appetizers and treats from the staff of Country Cabinets as well as beverages from Tuckerman Brewing Company and Horizons Wine. The Red Parka Steakhouse & Pub was also on hand passing out their famous teriyaki steak tips, spare ribs, wings and more.

In the spirit of the giving season, the Chamber, with donations from members and Country Cabinets gave away 11 gift packages including a $500 gift certificate towards a granite, soapstone or silestone countertop from Granite Design. Santa also made an appearance at the Chamber After Hours bringing the holiday spirit to this business networking event.

Executive Director, Janice Crawford highlighted some of the Chambers newest marketing programs as well as upcoming events including the 7th Annual Chilly Chili Cook-Off to take place at Flatbread Company on February 20th, 2010. The new Mt. Washington Valley Chamber Prescription Drug Card was well received by the Chamber members as they are now eligible to receive savings of up to 75 percent on prescription drugs that are not covered by their current health insurance plan. These cards were passed out during the After Hours event and are also available for Chamber members, their employees and family at the Chamber offices located in North Conway Village.
