Fall Foliage Report from Mt Washington Valley, NH: October 8., 2009

Fall foliage is predicted to peak over Columbus Weekend in Mt Washington Valley, NH. It's already just about at peak color in Pinkham and Crawford Notch, NH. The weather forecast from the Mount Washington Observatory is calling for a sunny Saturday, with highs in the 60s and a party cloudy slightly cooler Sunday this weekend. The three day weekend promises ideal leaf peeping weather for visitors, and as the Fryeburg Fair continues through Sunday, October 11, there's plenty to see and do in Mt Washington Valley.

Tom Caughey, General Manager of Wildcat Mountain Ski Area, caught these moose on their own foliage tour in Pinkham Notch this morning. The hillside shot is also taken in Pinkham Notch today.
