Camping an affordable lodging option for fall foliage getaways in Mt. Washington Valley, NH starting at $25 per night for a family of five complete with deluxe foliage views at no charge.

 

NORTH CONWAY, NH - Throughout September and October, don't rule out camping, an activity usually reserved for the warm months of summer, as a great fall getaway option in Mt. Washington Valley, New Hampshire. What better way to experience the fall colors than to sleep surrounded by the most spectacular displays of brilliant reds, oranges and yellows? Camping getaways are one of the most inexpensive fall lodging options and pack the added value of a deluxe foliage view at no extra charge. Whether it's a family getaway or a chance to hike or bike amidst spectacular foliage, come camp beneath the stars and breathe in the crisp balsam air of fall here in Mt. Washington Valley, New Hampshire.

 

FALL FOLIAGE CAMPING OPTIONS FROM $11 PER NIGHT
Unless otherwise specified, all rates do not include the 9% New Hampshire or 7% Maine Rooms and Meals taxes. Restrictions may apply for holiday weekends, and don't forget, book your site now or forever hold your peace. Campsites, like lodging throughout Mt Washington Valley, fill quickly during peak foliage weekends.


Pine Knoll Campground, Albany, NH: Located on picturesque Lake Iona, Pine Knoll Campground, is just minutes from Conway Village and the Kancamagus Highway, which offers great scenic overlooks for viewing the fall foliage. Daily rates through the fall season are $25 for tent sites, $30 for motor homes and trailers and $32 for beach front sites. Rates are per night for up to two adults and three children and include water and electricity. For a true camping experience, after October 15 and through the winter season, guests can stay for $11 per night which includes electricity only. Water is shut off for the season after October 15. 


Eastern Slope Camping Area, Conway, NH: This family campground located on the Saco River, has a variety of camping options from cozy cabin rentals to tent and motor home sites. Family campsites start at $25 per night for up to two adults and two children and include one sleeping unit and one vehicle, a fire ring and picnic table, free Wi-Fi access, and a canopy for most sites. Eastern Slope Camping Area is located just south of North Conway Village with easy access to tax-free outlet shopping, area attractions, lodging and great fall recreation such as a scenic train ride on the Conway Scenic Railroad. The campground closes for the season on October 15, 2009.

 

Beaver Hollow Campground, Ossipee, NH: Beaver Hollow Campground & RV Resort, located on about 40 acres of tall pines and hardwoods, has 140 sites all with full hook ups and 16 campsites for the more adventurous tenters. Open in both the summer and the winter, Beaver Hollow has great seasonal specials like their Fall Foliage Mini Season Special from September to Mid October; $450 for 6 weeks of camping (under $11 per day!). Beaver Hollow Campground also has regularly scheduled activities including family movie nights and hayrides. Be sure to check out the picnic luau on October 9.


Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort,
Freedom, NH: With clean, modern facilities and classic New England lakeside views, Danforth Bay Camping Resort is a great camping and RV destination. Many campsites are along the half-mile shoreline, or atop hills overlooking the lake. The four-season camping cabins welcome guests all year long. With kitchenettes, WiFi, cable hook-ups and private baths, these cabins offer all the facilities of home plus four-seasons of great views. A central facility with family room, large-screen TV, game room/arcade, full kitchen facilities and laundry also remain open all year for guest use. Rates for the cabins, for up to two adults and two children, start at $95 per night for the fall season (until November 1); tent sites start at $32 per night.


Glen Ellis Family Campground, Glen, NH: Situated on 65 acres nestled between the Saco and Ellis rivers, Glen Ellis Family Campground is located on Route 302 at the entrance to the White Mountain National Forest. This campground offers more than two hundred varied sites including a wilderness area for tenters, 30 and 50 amp full hook-ups for RVs and tag along campers and even an on-site Laundromat. Sites for up to two adults and two children, start at $30 per night for basic tents sites and $50 per night for sites with 50 amp full hook-ups. If you have always wanted to camp but lack the equipment, Glen Ellis Family Campground offers onsite trailer rentals. For $150 per night, a family of four can rent a two bedroom trailer with bath/shower, kitchen with dishes, pots and pans, microwave, coffee maker, TV with DVD player, picnic table and fire pit. Guests must bring their own linens, pillows and towels. Glen Ellis Family Campground closes October 14, for the 2009 season.


Woodland Acres Campground, Brownfield, ME: Looking for a Maine adventure? Woodland Acres Campground offers camping in the great woods of Maine. With close proximity to the Fryeburg Fair, on-site swimming, canoeing and fishing on the Saco River, Woodland Acres is a great fall family vacation destination. Standard sites for up to two adults and two children start at $34 per night and include water and electricity. River sites start at $40 per night. Woodlands Acres Campground is open until October 15, 2009.
