Don't worry about waiting for snow in your own backyard; the snowguns are going strong in Mt Washington Valley, where all ski resorts and most cross country centers will be open by December 13. Twenty three lodging properties throughout Mt Washington Valley have partnered with the Mt Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce to offer the special midweek Ski and Stay Packages offering the flexible 12-mountain pass, only available through lodging properties.  Each package includes one or more nights accommodations, Sunday through Thursday and a one or more day Monday through Friday lift ticket or trail pass and XC ski lesson plus rentals at Bretton Woods, Black Mountain, Cranmore Resort, King Pine, Shawnee Peak or Wildcat Mountain, Bretton Woods XC, Bear Notch Ski Touring, Great Glen Trails, MWV Ski Touring and Snowshoe Center or King Pine XC. All packages are offered midweek only, on non-holiday weeks from opening to closing day unless otherwise specified.

Here is a sampling of some of the affordable midweek skiing packages in Mt Washington Valley, NH:

The Flexible Ski Pass Package at Colonial Motel, North Conway, NH: Choose to use your lift ticket at Bretton Woods, Black Mountain, Cranmore Resort, King Pine, Shawnee Peak or Wildcat Mountain.  If you're a Nordic skier, choose a trail pass, rental and group lesson at Bretton Woods XC, Bear Notch Ski Touring, Great Glen Trails, MWV Ski Touring and Snowshoe Center or King Pine XC.  This package includes one day's skiing and one night lodging Sunday through Thursday (non-holiday) for $59 pp/pn/do. 

Royalty Inn, Gorham, NH:  Take advantage of the No Brainer Packages. Ski Wildcat Monday through Friday and stay for free Sunday through Thursday, non-holiday.  Simply purchase a $65 full price Wildcat Mountain lift ticket from Royalty Inn and stay for free (minimum double occupancy).  Each person staying in the room must purchase a lift ticket. Take advantage of the indoor pool, Jacuzzi and game room too.  Hey, it's a no brainer!

The Seasons Condominium Resort, Bartlett, NH:  Take advantage of the midweek flex pass here, where this condo resort offers ice skating and bon fires (weather permitting) an indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and game room - perfect for families traveling together. The more the merrier the price too.  Packages including one night's lodging and lift ticket or XC trail pass, group lesson and rental start at $74 for two adults pp/pn yet go as low as $51 pp/pn for ten people sharing a condo, January 4-March 26, 2009.

Covered Bridge House B&B, Bartlett, NH:  Take advantage of free midweek skiing from Covered Bridge House and have the mountain to yourself.  Stay two nights Sunday through Thursday (non-holiday) and receive two lift tickets to Bretton Woods, Black Mountain, Cranmore Resort, King Pine, Shawnee Peak or Wildcat Mountain.  If you're a Nordic skier, choose a trail pass, rental and group lesson at Bretton Woods XC, Bear Notch Ski Touring, Great Glen Trails, MWV Ski Touring and Snowshoe Center or King Pine XC. This package includes two nights lodging, double occupancy, with a full country breakfast each morning, and two lift tickets or trail passes for $198.00; valid opening day through closing day, non-holiday, midweek.
