The three-hour journey along the picturesque Androscoggin River into the 13-Mile Woods is a highpoint for anyone visiting New Hampshire's White Mountains. Starting May 31st, you'll ride in the comfort of an air-conditioned 21-passenger van in search of the gentle giant of the North Country, along with plenty of other native wildlife, including bald eagle. While nothing in life is absolutely guaranteed, the Scenic Moose and Wildlife Tours, have a 97.3% success rate, so spotting one of these fabulous woodland creatures is almost assured. As many as thirteen moose have been sited at one time on these tours.
The Scenic Moose and Wildlife Tours start from the Information Booth in the heart of Gorham, NH, and leave at 6:30pm every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from May 31 - October 11, 2004. Adult rates are $15 per person, $10 per child aged 5 - 12, and $5 per child aged four and under.
