With thirteen ski resorts and XC Centers, miles and miles of snowmobiling terrain, plus sledding, ice skating, sleighrides and a packed calendar of events, Mt. Washington Valley offers something for everyone. Mt Washington Valley's 13 ski resorts and XC Centers are offeing some of the best conditions ever. Make this the year for a Mt. Every Monday: Waxing Demonstration at JSTF. The Jackson Ski Touring Foundation will host a waxing demonstration every Monday at 9:30 a.m. Find out about the latest info from getting started to race fine tuning. All are welcome, free of charge. Info: 603-383-9355 or www.jacksonxc.org.

Every Tuesday: Tuesday Trekkers at JSTF - Like Friday Gliders but for snowshoers. Program goes through March 11, 2008. Enjoy a fun and social trek to explore the forest followed by refreshments by the fire. Participants will experience many wondrous winter things along the way. Tuesdays and Thursdays: Easy Sliders at JSTF - This program is a gentle introduction to cross country skiing and winter fitness for people who want to exercise but don't quite know how to begin. Open to absolute beginners on Tuesdays and Thursdays running through March 13. Each one hour instruction and gentle practice session starts at 10:30 followed by refreshments by the fire in the base lodge. Rate is $10 for each session including rentals (for the session period only). This program will introduce new skiers to basic XC technique and give participants a chance to experience the fun and fitness benefit of cross country skiing. Every Friday and Saturday: Guided Naturalist Skiing and Snowshoe Tours at Bear Notch - The Bear Notch Ski Touring Center in Bartlett will host special guided naturalist skiing and snowshoe tours on Fridays and Saturdays at 10 a.m. throughout the winter. Every Friday: Friday Gliders Classic Social Ski at JSTF - On Fridays through March 14, the Friday Gliders Classic Social Ski with Ski School Director Marianne Borowski and a host of other skiers will be held at 1 p.m. Very fun and social with instructional tips along the way. Every Saturday: Weekly Cranapalooza at Cranmore - Cranmore will host an evening festival for families and friends every Saturday through March 6. Between the hours of 2 and 9 p.m. enjoy live music, terrain park competitions, face painting, clowns, fireworks and other activities that will vary from week to week. Every Saturday: Snowshoe Instructional Nature Tour - Jackson Ski Touring offers a guided nature tour every Saturday from 10 a.m. to Noon. March 1: Mardi Gras and the Cajun Experience at Bretton Woods - Taste a bit of New Orleans with New England flair! March 4: Nordic Meister Weekly Series at Great Glen Trails - Great Glen Trails hosts its final weekly Nordic Meister recreational race series for skate/classic skiers of all ages and abilities. Participants will compete on the same 5 km course week after week, and they can show up any time between 9 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. to do it. March 9: Ski to the Clouds - North America's Toughest 10K. Raced on the trails at Great Glen Trails and then up to the finish at treeline on the Mt. Washington Auto Road, Ski to the Clouds includes a climb of more than 2200 vertical feet over the final 6 kilometers. March 14: 35th Annual Red Parka Pub Challenge Cup at Attitash - This is a highly competitive dual format race featuring a pro-style bump mid-course. It's one of the biggest and longest-running Mt. March 14: "Grascals" at the Stone Mountain Arts Center - Dolly Parton's back up band and bluegrass favorites the Grascals return to the Stone Mountain Arts Center for an encore performance. March 15: 4th Annual Attitash Spread Eagle World Championship & Retro Weekend - Get in the groove at the Attitash Spread Eagle World Championship followed by live outdoor 70's entertainment on the outside snow stage. Participants will air out their one-piece day glow suits as they fly off big air jumps, executing old school tricks of their choice such as Daffys, Spread Eagle, Backscratcher... The retro weekend is not just for ski jumpers but anyone who is nostalgic for the 70's. Those that arrive in their best 70's attire (including fro) can participate in the Best Retro Outfit contest. March 15: The Carl Johnson 5K Freestyle Race at Great Glen Trails - Classic or skate. This is a fun race with prizes for loudest tights, mystery time and fastest skate and classic time. March 15: Maple Sugaring at Remick Farm & Museum - Come learn how sap is turned into syrup and lots of other tasty treats from 1 to 4 p.m. today at the Remick Farm & Museum in Tamworth. Help gather the sap from the maple trees. Check out demonstrations of early Native American, Colonial and modern Backyard Boiler methods of making syrup. March 15: Hearthside Dinner at Remick Museum - The dinners are cooked entirely on the open hearth using historic recipes. Our guests help to prepare the meal with ingredients preserved fresh from the harvest. The Remick Museum staff dress in 19th century attire, and the menu changes with the seasons. Hearthside Dinners take place from 5 - 7 p.m.; they are a cozy gathering of 8-10 people, and although they are designed for adult audiences, young people ages 16 and up are welcome with an adult in attendance. March 22: Annual On-Snow Golf Tournament at Attitash - Serious golf for silly skiers today with the annual Attitash Open. March 22: Moonlight Nordic Ski and Snowshoe Tour - Snow and a full moon accentuate the breathtaking beauty of Mount Washington Resort's Nordic and snowshoe terrain.
